About the film

This critically acclaimed film follows the cases of three women in Texas who were denied medically necessary abortion care, meanwhile facing life-threatening pregnancy complications. Filmmakers Maisie Crow and Abbie Perrault highlight the gravitas in which legislation moderating access to abortion care impacts lives. Through these cases, the viewer is exposed to the terrifying reality which banned abortion has. Battling against the Texas Supreme Court, the fight for access to health care reveals the realities which those on the frontlines will go through in effort to regain those rights. As a persisting fight, anti-abortion legislation in Texas currently includes three state laws banning abortion, and up to 99 years jail time for physicians who have been found to violate the abortion laws.
