In ‘Visibly Invisible’, we follow the pro-Palestinian student movement’s struggle to exist under university restrictions and personal persecution. At the University of Copenhagen, students read anonymous testimonies from Columbia University and Barnard College, sharing experiences of misrepresentation and university-imposed sanctions.

‘Vibrations from Gaza’ offers a glimpse into the lives of deaf children living under Israeli siege and frequent military attacks in Gaza. In a world without sound, they sense the violence through trembling ground and vibrations in the air. Through quiet intensity the film captures both the vulnerability and strength of childhood under occupation.

‘Gaza: Before 7 October’ follows Dr. Sohaib Safi, a doctor working at Al-Awda Hospital in May, 2023. Through his daily routines and reflections, the film offers a look into Gaza’s fragile healthcare system — already under immense strain due to blockade, shortages, and constant uncertainty. It is a reminder of the humanitarian crisis that was already unfolding before the world turned its eyes to Gaza.

Event

This event is the first part of the Palestine evening program. Coffee and knafeh will be served from 16:00. The screening of ‘Visibly Invisible’ will be followed by a panel with the short film’s directors, and two representatives from Students Against the Occupation. The program continues with the short films ‘Vibrations from Gaza’ and ‘Gaza: Before 7th October’. After the screenings, Palestinian food will be served in Asta Bar. Here, the short film ‘UNDR’ by artist and filmmaker Kamal Aljafari will be on display. At 19:30, you can join the second event of the evening with the screening of ‘Shrinking place”.The event will be in English.
