The Nordic Network on Global Health connects universities across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, creating a Nordic platform for collaboration, exchange, and innovation in global health education. Our members are academics with key responsibilities for global health programmes and teaching at their universities. Together, they share knowledge, build partnerships, and create new opportunities for global health education across the Nordic region. Decolonizing Global Health Education
The Nordic Network on Global Health is currently working to strengthen the integration of decolonial perspectives into global health education across the Nordic region. Together, the partner universities are co-creating a practical Toolkit for Decolonizing Global Health Courses, providing educators with evidence-based guidance and teaching resources. Through collaborative workshops, the project aims to build teaching capacity across the network and support more reflective and critically engaged global health education.
In the previous network period, the partner universities did a focus group study among students in global health programmes across the Nordic countries, exploring their experiences and perspectives on decolonising global health education.

Nordic Global Health Talks
From 2021 to 2024, the Nordic Network on Global Health hosted Nordic Global Health Talks, a monthly webinar series showcasing new research, methods and perspectives in global health. Each 45-minute webinar featured a 30-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A, bringing together researchers and experts from Nordic universities and their global partners.
Explore the webinar recordings to discover the diverse expertise, research strengths and areas of specialisation across the Nordic universities. Topics span a wide range of global health challenges, from universal access to healthcare, climate change and health, and gender equality to global health diplomacy, non-communicable diseases and infectious diseases, and much more.
Interested in a career in global health? The series also includes a talk on how to build and navigate a global health career, as well as a session featuring inspiring career stories from global health alumni.
