Student voices shaping global health: Meet our Student Advisory Board

Student board

Created to embed student perspectives into the School of Global Health’s strategic development and activities, the Student Advisory Board empowers students from the University of Copenhagen to influence initiatives and ensure their voices remain central to the School’s evolving global health vision.

Student Advisory Board

The Student Advisory Board is a platform for student-led engagement at the University of Copenhagen. Starting in 2025, members will act as liaisons between their academic communities and the School, raising concerns, promoting engagement, and supporting student-driven projects.

Voices from the Board: What drives these global health advocates?

We asked our student board members to reflect on their interests, inspirations, and hopes for the future of global health. Their responses reveal a rich tapestry of passion, purpose, and personal connection.

🔹 Alexander Krüger Kjær — MSc in Medicine

“My hope is to see continuous progress in the prevention of diseases, particularly in vulnerable low-income countries… Partnerships that turn simple health-promoting ideas into real changes inspire me.”

🔹 Alison Lodal Hinklom — MSc in Global Health

“Living between two very different cultures has profoundly shaped my global health interests and motivates me to bridge gaps in healthcare access and equity.”

🔹 Anna Panagopoulou — MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences

“I imagine communities being solidarized not only for collective prosperity but also for environmental sustainability… My classmates are a window to the world for me.”

🔹 Anniken Høeg Halvorsen — MSc in Medicine

“I envision a global health future that is not siloed but interconnected… where radical hope and honest conversations drive real, actionable change.”

🔹 Kaylee de Lange — MSc in Global Health

“Strengthening health systems through evidence-based economic and policy changes is key… The diverse individuals I’ve met while studying abroad inspire me daily.”

🔹 Linnie Vilda Marie Löfgren — MSc in Global Development

“I hope global health can meet today’s challenges — from inequality and climate change to child protection and mental health in the digital era.”

Voices that drive change

Through their activities in the Student Advisory Board, these students are shaping the future of global health. Coming from diverse academic backgrounds, their paths converge in a shared commitment to equity, inclusion, and impact.

The Student Advisory Board is a space where insight meets action — and where student voices are heard. If you're ready to help shape the future of global health, we invite you to connect with the board, share your ideas, and get involved.
