School of Global Health and University of Copenhagen offers a number of popular courses within global health, which are open to both students and external applicants.

Focused on global health challenges and solutions within urbanisation and healthy living, working with a case in Copenhagen.
The course will focus on promotion of health and wellbeing in the urban environment across age groups and socioeconomic positions, and also on urban adaptation to climate change, management of environmental health risks, and opportunities for green urban development on health.

In this course, you will learn about the changing health patterns in Arctic populations. The course addresses living conditions and vital statistics for Arctic populations. It addresses determinants and risk factors for health, including genetic susceptibility, environment, social factors, diet and nutrition, smoking, and alcohol and substance use.

Through a mix of lectures, case studies, group work and workshops, this summer course will explore, explain and analyse many of the greatest challenges to current and future health. The University of Copenhagen’s School of Global Health offers a three-week field course in global health and research methods. The course is a close collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. The international summer course in One Health aims to provide knowledge, skills and competences regarding efficient solutions to the multifaceted global challenges to human, animal and environmental health through cross-disciplinary research, education and collaboration between relevant institutions and stakeholders. The summer course focuses on zoonoses, emerging diseases, and emerging health-related problems (drug resistance, toxins, pollution, etc.).
