Samir Bhatt is stepping in for Cecilie Svanes, who had to cancel last minute. Samir will run over the core methods that they are using in modelling infectious diseases. He will discuss the data and modelling challenges in the COVID-19 pandemic and how we can prepare for the next pandemic. Samir Bhatt is a Professor of Machine Learning and Public Health at the University of Copenhagen and a Professor of Statistics and Public Health and Imperial College London. His group focuses on mathematical, statistical and computer science tools to answer questions about human health.
