Video from PhD Defense - Sedimentation and resuspension of helminth eggs in water

Mita Eva Sengupta has studied sedimentation and resuspension of helminth eggs in water. The background for this is that faecal polluted water increasingly worldwide will be used to irrigate food crops. Helminth eggs is the key water quality parameter for such water.

Mita has for the first time provided an insight into how different types of helminth eggs behave in water. Results which can be used to establish predictive models for the safe use of low quality water for food production.
