About the department
In Global Prevention and Health Promotion, Cities Changing Diabetes (www.citieschangingdiabetes.com) is Novo Nordisk’s global platform to address urban diabetes, including the risk factors in urban areas that lead to the growing rate of people with diabetes and obesity in cities. After a successful launch in more than 40 cities around the world, we are working to drive the implementation of the scientific, communication, and advocacy agendas related to urban diabetes and the prevention of obesity. In 2022, the key priorities are to drive the program forward in current and new partner cities, capacity building in selected cities, planning of events and masterclasses, and supporting new pilot projects. This is part of Novo Nordisk’s overall ambition to Defeat Diabetes.
