Senior Lecturer in Global Health
The post holder will build and lead a new Partnerships Research Programme in the King's Centre for Global Health & Health Partnerships and contribute to SPHES research and the wider King's Global Health Institute
When established, this new research team will strengthen the health partnerships research in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Somaliland and Zambia. These health partnerships are: Impactful, to make significant and sustained healthcare improvements; Strong Partnerships that are sustainable, equitable, values-driven, accountable and jointly led; and have Wider Influence by pioneering a distinctive approach to health systems strengthening; are Mutually Beneficial to LMIC partners, KCL and NHS partners.
The post holder will develop their own research portfolio as Principal Investigator in an area of research related to the health partnerships and the School, supervise PhD students, contribute to teaching, and lead the development of a new Global Health MSc pathway and executive education course in applied health systems strengthening. It is likely that the post holder will travel extensively (approx. 12 weeks per year) to existing and potential new health partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a record of securing research funding as PI or CoI and a track record of research excellence in global health, implementation science or health policy and systems research.
This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post -100% full time equivalent.
The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment, a presentation.
