Good Clinical Practice Initiative Lead

Employment: Part Time (2-3 days per week)

Salary: Circa £80,000 pro rata

We are seeking a Senior Leader to deliver for the Joint Initiative on Good Clinical Practice. Based at Wellcome’s office in Central London, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a ground-breaking global joint initiative between Wellcome Trust, The Gates Foundation and the African Academy of Sciences, to develop new clinical trials guidelines, and then advocate for their uptake globally.
To do this you will be expected to engage and build effective relationships with a broad range of global stakeholders in the clinical trial sector.
We are seeking someone with substantial experience and expertise in designing and running clinical research - preferably across a number of different health areas, geographies and resource settings - to be the figurehead of the project. You will manage a small team to develop the overall strategy and collaboratively deliver these guidelines, whilst representing the JI-GCP in relevant international fora; conferences, meetings, workshops as well as in the media to establish an international presence and promote the initiative.

Experience & Skills
This a part-time role (2 or 3 days a week) suitable for someone looking for a project in addition to an existing role. The GCP Initiative Lead will have:
- Experience developing and gaining senior-level support for proposals and recommendations for policy makers or guidelines.
- An established network of stakeholders across the clinical trial field- including academia, pharmaceutical sector, regulators, research funders and international organisations.
Education & Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
