Within the framework of the European initiative EU Aid Volunteers, Action Against Hunger is managing 2 projects involving the deployment of 25 volunteers in our missions in Colombia, Guatemala, Senegal, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Niger, Philippines, Mauritania and Georgia in 2019-2020.

The objectives of the initiative are to provide practical support to humanitarian aid projects contributing to strengthen the local capacity and resilience of communities affected by disasters, as well as to create a pool of people trained and interested in humanitarian action.

To this end, before deployment to the field, volunteers participating in this initiative will be receiving a training package that involves online and face-to-face training (for a minimum of 9 days in Belgium or Italy and 4 days in Madrid) by the agency EACEA (European Commission) and Action Against Hunger.
