Theory of change - Workshop w/ Erica Breuer

The University of Copenhagen's Global Health Section would like to invite you for a workshop on Theory of Change (ToC) on Monday 30 January from 13.00 – 16.00. The workshop is open for all UCPH employees.

Dr. Erica Breuer, a ToC specialist and honorary lecturer at the University of Newcastle in Australia, will be conducting the workshop in person in room 7.0.18.

Theory of change is a monitoring and evaluation approach which can be used to develop and evaluate complex health interventions and is used widely in global health. In this introductory workshop you will learn:

  1. Identify the different purposes of Theory of Change
  2. Describe the basic structure of a Theory of Change
  3. Summarise the benefits of using ToC to describe, develop and evaluate complex health interventions
  4. Develop a simple ToC for a complex health intervention

About Dr. Erica Breuer

Dr. Erica Breuer (PhD, MPH (Epidemiology), BAppSc Phty(Hons)) is a global health researcher with a specific interest and expertise in using Theory of Change to identify, develop and evaluate health and social care interventions. Dr Breuer has been involved in Theory of Change development across a broad range of social and health programmes including mental health, prisoner health, dementia, long term care, global surgery, palliative care, and child development across a range of countries. She is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
