We are delighted to present three new partners who will be offering internships and other opportunities for collaboration for UCPH students with an interest and expertise in global health, water and sanitation.

Internship with Bestnet Europe


10:00-11:00: general information about internship
11:00-12:00 Bestnet Europe

Marcus K. Sørensen, Head of Global Quality and Development at Bestnet Europe will present internship opportunities and talk thesis collaboration. Bestnet Europe is situated in Kolding, Western Denmark as well as worldwide. The company produces, among other things, one of the WHO’s top-recommended mosquito nets and solar light solutions.

Friday 14 March

Internship opportunities with NOVO Nordisk

Programme manager Pierre Roca from Novo Nordisk will present the work of his area, Corporate Stakeholder Engagement and internship opportunities within this Novo Nordisk Headquarters department.

Corporate Stakeholder Engagement’s mission is to help create a supportive environment for people with diabetes. The area drives patient advocacy externally, highlighting the wishes and needs of people with diabetes and haemophilia while promoting their rights to live a full life with their condition Corporate Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for setting the agenda and drive corporate accountability for the ‘Triple Bottom Line’ business principle in Novo Nordisk. The area engages with external stakeholders to understand their position in order to help Novo Nordisk to take an outside-in perspective on questions pertaining to its business.

Tuesday 18 March

Internship with NIRAS

International Market Director Claus Jørgensen at NIRAS will be presenting internship possibilities & collaboration opportunities.

If an internships in NIRAS becomes a reality, it could be in a developing country within, for example, the environment or water and sanitation sectors which also touches upon legal, social and economic aspects. The interns are expected to be very proactive in planning and defining their internship in dialogue with NIRAS’ project manager in question.

NIRAS is an international, multidisciplinary consultancy company with more than 1400 employees located in offices in Europe, Asia and Africa. Their business is to provide impartial consultancy in a variety of fields such as construction and infrastructure, public utilities, environmental and natural resources, climate change and energy, planning, and development consulting.
