Debate Meeting on Danish Development Policy
NGO Forum and Universities Denmark will for the third consecutive year organize a grand debate meeting on the state of Danish development policy with members of the Parliament and the Minister for Development Cooperation. The newly appointed Minister has initiated a new Danish development strategy. What is new in the new strategy, what can it achieve that the old one could not? What impact will the emphasis on a rights-based approach to bilateral and multilateral assistance have? And what ever happened to the social sectors of the Danish assistance? At this meeting you be able to hear visions by the Minister and immediate reactions by the opposition. The strategy document is expected to be shared with the public in April.
Before the meeting at a soon-to-be-launched website you will be able to raise your concerns and ask your questions at www.udviklingsdebat.dk . The meeting will also be shown live at this website.
